Mayor Troy Brumbalow was honored to welcome a group of 17 kids from Ukraine who are staying with local host families through U4UKids: Uniting for Ukrainian Kids (https://www.u4ukids.com/) for a visit to Cumming City Hall and the @Cumming City Center today! U4UKids, a program of Together Ministry (https://www.togetherministry.org/) provides three weeks of respite from the war with Russia for Ukrainian children, by placing them with American families who have ties to Ukraine. During the first week, the children spent time alone with their host families; during the second week, they took part in a YMCA camp; and during the third week, they are meeting with local officials like Mayor Brumbalow and seeing various sites around metro Atlanta and North Georgia before returning home next week.

During their visit, they asked Mayor Brumbalow many great questions and got to enjoy a round of mini golf at The Course at Tin Cup Grill Cumming GA at the City Center.

Many Ukrainian families have relocated to the Cumming/Forsyth County area in recent years and are working with U4UKids to help Ukrainian kids and families. Anyone interested in helping with this organization, please go to either of the websites above.
